Quartermaster privacy policy
Effective July 21, 2026
Quartermaster is a personal tool-inventory app. Accounts are invite-only, and each account's inventory is private to that account — no other user can see it, and there is no sharing, social, or analytics layer.
What we store
Your email address (used only to sign you in), and the inventory you create: item names and details, locations, quantities, prices, notes, loans, maintenance schedules, and the photos you take. Everything is stored in our database and private photo storage (hosted on Supabase), scoped to your account and protected by row-level security. Photos are never public; they are served only to your signed-in session via expiring links.
How photos are processed
When you use photo capture, the photo is sent to Anthropic's API to identify the tools in it. That is the only purpose; the results come back to your account and nowhere else. No data is used to train models, sold, or shared for advertising — by us or on our behalf.
Service providers
The app runs on infrastructure that necessarily handles data in transit or at rest: Supabase (database, sign-in, photo storage), Vercel (application hosting and logs), Anthropic (photo identification, as above), and Resend (delivering sign-in code emails). There are no ads, no trackers, and no analytics services.
Deletion
Deleting an item permanently removes its record and photo. When an account is removed, all of its inventory records are deleted; stored photo files become permanently inaccessible and any residual files are removed on request.
